Jason's love for music began at a young age when his mother bought a used baby grand piano and signed him up for lessons. After many years playing both classical and modern piano, Jason switched over to the bass so that he and a friend could form the rhythm section of a rock band that they had founded.

It was also during this time that Jason discovered a passion for the Chapman StickŪ and found his true musical voice. The StickŪ is a unique stringed instrument that incorporates the range of both a bass and guitar. With the use of a two-hand tapping technique, two unique rhythms can be played simultaneously. "This is the instrument that I was always searching for. It enables me to incorporate my early piano training with my love for the low end sound of the bass," explains Jason.
